Amenity-Packed Seattle Estate Lists for Whopping $85M

If the record-breaking heat already has you longing for cooler climes, we’ve got the home for you. But get ready to shell out some cash. This sprawling newly-listed $85 million Seattle-area estate offers every conceivable amenity—and then some.
The seller is Bruce McCaw, brother of uber-wealthy Craig, who made his $2.2 billion fortune in the cell service business. The palatial property was previously owned by saxophonist/composer Kenny G. (Fun fact: In addition to being the most successful instrumentalist of all time, Kenny is a savvy financial and real estate investor with a net worth of $100 million.)

Not surprisingly, the 4.3-acre estate ranks as the area’s most expensive listing in the history of the Northwest MLS. Still, if you’ve ever wanted to live in a private chateau—and money is no object—this home checks every box.
Let’s start with the location.
The Hunts Point property is situated along 327-feet of pristine, no-bank shoreline on Lake Washington, the second-largest natural freshwater lake in the state. Your very own marina is large enough to hold a 150-foot yacht, jet skis, and additional boats. You can also land your own seaplane.

McCaw, a pilot, told the Puget Sound Business Journal that he designed the dock himself.
Towering trees, manicured lawns, stone patios, and lush gardens add to the allure. There’s also a beach house, tennis court, waterfall pool, putting green, multiple jacuzzis, and a gym.
Credit for the opulent design goes to architect-to-the-stars Richard Landry—aka “King of the Megamansion.”
An A-list clientele includes Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady, Lisa Vanderpump, and Mark Wahlberg, whose 30,000-square foot European-style Beverly Hill megamanse just listed for $87.5 million. (Fun fact #2: If Wahlberg gets his price—or anything close—it will be the second-biggest home sale in Southern California so far this year.)

But back to the listing at hand. Nearly 18,000 square feet of living space is divided between four structures.
The 10-bedroom, five-bath main house is a blend of rococo, English manor, and mid-’90s decadence, with a two-story foyer and columns, corbels, ornate molding, and even detailed reliefs, according to Seattle Met. Dramatic floor to ceiling window walls offer picturesque lake views.
Pricey luxury estates in the Seattle area have been in the news lately. The estate of former Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, featured in a recent Second Shelters story, is on the market for $28 million.
Anna Riley and Denise Niles of Windmere Real Estate hold the listing.
