Tracee Ellis Ross Lists Her Superbly Stylish Hollywood Hills Home

Tracee Ellis Ross oozes style. Plain and simple.
For the Oscar red carpet, she donned a provocative, body-revealing Carolina Herrera gown. Then last Sunday, the Black-ish star rocked the Grammys in shiny patent leather. Her at-home style is equally alluring. Just ask any of Ross’ 10.8 million Instagram followers, who’ve gotten a glimpse inside the actress’ personality-packed Hollywood Hills abode.

For starters, there’s the totally cool blue living room complete with comfy sectional sofa. (It’s been reupholstered “about 63 times,” Ross told Financial Times). We’ve also seen the cozy kitchen (where her Golden Globe sits alongside a quartet of salt cellars and Buddha statue), sunny breakfast room, marble bathtub, and beloved lemon trees.
But, sad to say, all that fabulousness is a thing of the past. Just last week Dirt broke the news that the 2.540-square-foot, three-story 1930s Spanish-style property is on the market for $2.295 million. Gone is the actress’ eclectic style, replaced by requisite white walls and generic rented furniture.

We’re not blaming you, Hilton & Hyland listing agent Brett Lawyer.
We know the drill of how to stage a home to sell. And yes, some of the original charm remains, such as the ornate fireplace, built-in cabinetry, ceramic tile counters, and checkerboard flooring.
Two bedrooms on the upper level open up to flagstone terraces offering picturesque views. On the floor below, a gym/media/lounge leads out to an entertainment area and lushly-landscaped private backyard. The lower level also houses a guest apartment with a separate entrance.

Listing aside, it seems the Black-ish star herself is still the home’s best promoter. In a 2017 interview with Vogue, Ross used the words “warm, safe, and fun” to describe the residence.
I, personally, would have loved a peek in the actress’ closet before she packed it up.
As the daughter of the perennially chic Diana Ross, there’s no doubt it was fantastic.

“My style icon is my mother – she is the one individual who has had the greatest impact on my style,” says Ross.
Needless to say, whoever buys the actress’ Hollywood home has big shoes to fill. And for our money, we’re betting they’re Louboutins.
