Dallas Real Estate News: Natalie and Mike McGuire Selling Home They Bought From A-Rod

Recall the unbelievable $15 million sale on Gillon I told you about last week? Well, turns out the buyers are none other than that darling Natalie and Mike McGuire of Andrews Distributing fame. So turn about means they are selling their home on one of the most prestigious streets in Dallas on  Lakeside Drive. This is the home they traded with pal Alex Rodriquez about eight years ago.  The New York Yankees third baseman moved into their house on Arcady Avenue, and the McGuires took over his manse on Lakeside Drive. (A trade is simply you buy mine, I’ll buy your’s.)
Overlooking the most spectacular view of the creek, this  home is finished to perfection! Custom double glass iron doors lead you into the two story entry that leads to the large coffered ceiling den. Then three sets of doors open to large covered patio with fireplace and grill. The yard has high end pool & landscaping, and the three-car garage also serves as a full catering kitchen.

When the McGuires moved in, they discovered their existing furniture did not fit well in A-Rod’s darker, very traditional house. After waiting a few years, they called on designer  Laura Lee Clark Falconer to brighten up the interiors. And brighten she did. Ms. Falconer got the McGuires to buy a ton of great art — David Bates practically owns the walls — and the square footage, all 10,724 of it. The Mediterranean style home was built in 1997 and have four bedrooms, three living areas, study, three stories, a three car garage, and sits on a most deliciously located Highland Park lot of .38 acres. Allie Beth Allman listed the home on May 2, shortly after the McGuire’s love affair with Gillon.
