8 Reasons to Love WaterColor, Florida
Share News:

WaterColor has long been a favorite coastal haunt of Texans seeking beach waters a little more clear than what Galveston has to offer. In fact, if you visit the area during peak summer vacation, you’re bound to see someone you know.
Located on a pristine stretch of the Gulf of Mexico, there are so many beautiful beach neighborhoods to choose from in the South Walton area, from Miramar Beach to Rosemary Beach.
Here are eight reasons that WaterColor is one of the very best:
1. Crystal Clear Water And Sugar-Fine Sand

The incredible quality of water and sand in WaterColor will have you wondering if you are in Tahiti or Bora Bora. It’s that unbelievably beautiful.
2. Riding Bikes Everywhere

Beach cruiser bicycles abound, and nearly everything is a quick bike ride away. There couldn’t be a more idyllic method of transportation than peddling over the bridges and through the trees on the many bike paths.
3. Private Beach And Pool
WaterColor residents (even if you’re just renting) and guests of the WaterColor Inn and Resort receive waterproof wristbands to grant access to the pool and beach club area.
4. Mojito Happy Hour at Great Southern Cafe
Great Southern Cafe in Seaside has an amazing happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. every day with half-off cocktails. Try one of their many unique and tropical mojito concoctions, like coconut or guava pineapple.
5. The Boutiques And Shops in Seaside
A short half-mile bike ride away from WaterColor, the town of Seaside provides a more central location with an abundance of cute boutique shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. It’s the perfect place to walk around on an overcast or cloudy day.
6. Avocado Toast at Black Bear Bakery
This avocado toast was billed to me by several different enthusiasts as the “best avocado toast in the world,” and I have to say, it’s pretty special. It comes down to that fresh, homemade bread and colorful, pickled peppers on top.
7. Paddleboarding on Western Lake
The sparkling beaches aren’t the only watery attraction in WaterColor. Western Lake is a beautiful spot to rent a paddleboard, kayak, or even a motorized foil surfboard
8. Great For Kids

WaterColor is a paradise for families. The surf at the beach is typically gentle and shallow, allowing kiddos to play safely in the water. There are several pools with slides and fun water features around the WaterColor neighborhood as well.
