Ready to take off for the big screen? Here are some destinations all over North America where you can enjoy a weekend of role-playing your favorite scenes or just a regular weekend. Which film backdrop is the spot you’d prefer to make your debut?
Idyllic Lakeside Cabin from Maid
$201/night
In Netflix’s hit series Maid, protagonist Alex (played by Margaret Qualley) and her daughter had several housing situations that were less than ideal. However, this idyllic lakeside cabin where Alex and Maddy took refuge in episode six was a definite bright spot. Before Sean came along and messed it up, of course. *eye roll*
Although the series is set in the American Pacific Northwest, most of the show was shot in Canada and this beautiful cabin is no exception. In a beautiful natural setting with the Olympic mountains in view and access to both coast and forest. The home has one bedroom and one bath with warm wood paneling, and a beautiful gazebo and fire pit by the water.
Bella’s House from Twilight
$400/night
This charming 1930s house in St. Helens, Oregon, is instantly recognizable to Twilight fans as Charlie Swan’s home where Bella lived throughout most of the movie series. Great care has been taken to preserve the movie magic, with things like the original dining table used during filming still intact.
The house is much roomier than the films would have you believe, with a total of eight bedrooms. The property owners are well-practiced at marketing the Airbnb as a bucket-list stay for Twilight fans and reviewed as terrific hosts. If you want to stay here, you’ll need to plan long term – the home is completely sold out with new months opening for booking a year in advance.
Tony Stark’s Cabin from Avengers: End Game
$800/night
This Georgia cabin was deemed fit for a superhero when Tony Stark and his family retreated to this secluded spot in Avengers. Several scenes from the movie were shot on site here and the Airbnb reviews rave about the cool factor of watching Marvel films at Tony Stark’s cabin and the tour of film sites on the property.
Perfect for a family vacation, this home is just 20 minutes from the Atlanta airport but emanates a sense of peaceful solitude in the middle of beautiful Bouckaert Farm. There are three bedrooms and bathrooms.
