There’s good news on the horizon if you missed your chance to own a piece of Napa Valley a few years back. Denver-based Nichols Partnership is in the process of developing 96 acres of the 712-acre historic Stanly Ranch in the heart of Napa wine country.

The Auberge Resorts development, highlighted by a 60-foot Infinity loop sculpture, will include a luxury resort featuring 135 guest cottages, 70 single-family vineyard homes, and 40 fully furnished fractional ownership villas overlooking the vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains.

The vineyard homes will range from 2,445 to 5,595 square feet with a mix of four model plans. The villas will consist of 1,725 square feet each and have two bedrooms. Amenities include a great lawn, two swimming pools, a spa, a fitness studio, dining, walking trails, and activities under the sculpture.

According to Nichols Partnership, “the Stanly Ranch development will exemplify “the New Napa”, a 21st Century luxury resort & spa with integrated vineyards, gardens, public winery and luxury vineyard homes and villas, creating an unmatched community and resort destination for food and wine country.”

Sitting atop the hill overlooking the property is the 12,000-pound landmark sculpture by Napa-based artist, Gordon Huether

“The goal was to reflect the Stanly Ranch design principles of beautiful simplicity, understated luxury and seamless integration with the unique Napa Valley setting,” said Huether.

The Cor-Ten steel continuous loop is 60 feet long, 20 feet high, and 40 feet wide, and will gain a rust-colored patina to complement its natural setting. The huge piece is intended to welcome guests and provide a calming effect conducive to yoga, meditation, picnics, and other gatherings.

“If there was ever a time where people need some inspiration, where people need some lifting up of the human spirit, now would be the time, and art is a great tool to support humanity in that way,” said Huether.

“Stanly Ranch, a new destination in the heart of wine country, will celebrate the romance of connecting with family and friends in a setting that’s steeped in winery estate tradition, inspired by the beauty of the land, and infused with a fresh, convivial spirit,” states Auberge Resorts.

The resort is expected to open late 2021. Contact Auberge Resorts for ownership inquiries.
