Brrrr! Seasonal temperatures were charming for the holidays, but unless there are fun snow sports involved, we’re ready for balmier weather. Time to check out beach-side properties. With direct flights clocking in at under three hours from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the sunny beaches of Los Cabos, Mexico, are an excellent place to start!

Twin Dolphin, a master-planned residential community being developed by Ohana Real Estate Investors, is situated along the “Golden Corridor” between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. The development is named for an iconic hotel that once stood on the site and had Texas ties. Built in 1977, the Twin Dolphin Hotel was a pet project of oilman David J. Halliburton, Sr.  It was a retreat sans phone or television hosting the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Bing Crosby, and John Wayne in its day. With the hotel gone, the Twin Dolphin property now offers homeowners a turnkey luxury lifestyle with chic housing options and the five-star amenities of a fine coastal resort.

The community’s flagship project, Maravilla Los Cabos, is a private oceanfront community encompassing 260 acres overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Residential options at Maravilla include homesites, custom homes, villas, and townhouses with a sophisticated modern aesthetic. And, there’s another property in the community opening soon — a resort plus residences project from a top-tier brand.  Click to here to find out more about this exceptional community in a gorgeous coastal destination where the temperature is 77 degrees Fahrenheit today.

The Site

Twin Dolphin is located between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, on 1,4oo acres spanning both sides of the Transpeninsular Highway. The Maravilla Los Cabos residential community is set on Las Viudas Beach. Adjacent is Montage Los Cabos, a five-star resort and residences currently under development (oops, gave it away!) that sits on the shore of Santa Maria Bay. See the Maravilla website for an interactive map of the property.

The Amenities

Residents of the Maravilla Los Cabo residential community in Twin Dolphin enjoy a 60,000-square-foot clubhouse; a range of dining options; and multiple pools (a three-level infinity pool with a water slide, a lap pool, hot and cold plunge pools, and a Jacuzzi.) There’s also a full-service spa, a fitness center, and an outdoor fitness palapa (an open-air shelter, perfect for catching sea breezes while you stretch), a climbing wall and lawn sports courts. Kids in tow? Rain or shine, they’ll find plenty to do in the outdoor amphitheater, indoor theatre, arts and craft center, and activity center with indoor-outdoor games. Are you the outdoorsy type? Desert hiking, biking trails, and glamping tents will satisfy an itch for nature pursuits. Golf is what draws you? The Twin Dolphin Golf Club and a Fred Couples Signature Golf Course is coming in late 2018. And, oh yes – the community is set on two beautiful swimmable beaches which have been awarded the international Blue Flag certification for high environmental and water quality standards. Twin Dolphin| CandysDirt.com
