Ranch of the Week: Super Cute in Celina, TX

Front of Home

Talk about location, y’all! Commuting distance to Dallas, and right by Highway 75 and McKinney, 4445 County Road 208 in Celina is for the working rancher. The property is a modest 7.22 acres, so plenty of room for a few stay-at-home horses without being overwhelming or too much to take care of. Seven acres is still what I like to call “riding lawnmower size.” No tractor required.

Living 2 Living

The home has a great, flowing, and open floorplan, with soaring ceilings and hand-scraped wood floors throughout. The split four bedroom has 2,789 square feet and three and a half baths, with beamed ceilings and a combined living/dining room that makes the space seem much bigger than you’d expect. This home would be super easy to modernize with updated paint colors and furnishings – the bones are definitely there.

Kitchen 2 Kitchen

The living area flows right into the eat-in kitchen, which features ample cabinet space and granite countertops. It’s a very typical country family kitchen, nothing fancy but it’s totally functional and completely after-school-snack friendly.

Master Bath Master

The bedrooms are light, bright, and airy with huge windows and nice, tall ceilings. They’re all calm, neutral colors and totally move-in ready. Much like the living area, the bedrooms would all be very easy to customize and upgrade. The room size is much larger than what we’re seeing in new builds a lot these days, especially the master which is a generous 16-foot by 18-foot.

Barn Aisle Barn

Fully fenced on the perimeter, with pipe and cable holding pens, the horse accommodations would be great for the casual horse owner, breeder, or a small scale trainer. The 40-foot by 60-foot barn is fully insulated, with a concrete barn aisle, plenty of workshop space, and pasture.

Barn Office Stalls

Complete with four fully matted horse stalls with dutch doors, the barn also has an air conditioned guest room with full bath. There is also a greenhouse, 16 raised beds for gardening, and a vented storm shelter. You’ll really find a lot of bang for your buck here. Little extras like an extra-wide, all-weather driveway and extra-tall garage to accommodate big vehicles will really make you feel right at home.
